Germany had 1 more day than France to prepare for this match, but they had a tough 120-minute quarterfinal against Italy. Besides, Germany have problems with the squad. Hummels (suspension), Gomez and Khedira (both injuries) are definetely out.
France finally put a good performance in this tournament as they comfortably outplayed Iceland (5:2) in the quarterfinal. Two players are back from suspension - Rami and Kante. Coach Deschamps must decide whether to go back to nominal 4-3-3 formation with Kante, Matuidi and Pogba in midfield, or whether to start with Kante on the bench and stick with more offensive 4-2-3-1 which worked well in the recent game. In my opinion hosts are favourites of this semifinal.
